IV nutrition therapy is the intravenous administration of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants and other micronutrients to enhance a patient’s health and wellbeing. IV nutrition therapy bypasses the gastrointestinal absorption which enhances the nutrient bioavailability and cellular uptake. IV nutrition therapy has the potential to help with a number of disorders, especially those with malabsorption symptoms. Most commonly, IV therapy is used for those suffering from dehydration, chronic fatigue, allergies, chronic illnesses, and autoimmune conditions. It is also often used for those who are seeking to enhance the body’s ability to repair and regenerate cellular and system injuries, which is beneficial for increasing athletic performance, recovery, and anti-aging.

IV nutrition therapy allows your body to receive vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants, and other important micronutrients immediately into your bloodstream — which is ideal for those with trouble absorbing nutrients, or for those that may be suffering from conditions that are causing their bodies to use them up more rapidly. It also provides rehydration, which is essential for functioning at your best.

-
This depends on both treatment and patient. Most common infusions are recommended on a monthly basis. However, certain infusions and patient scenarios may have more frequent recommendations. We offer oral supplementation plans that help support the body as well.
-
This depends on the infusion being administered. Generally, it takes 30-60 minutes for the infusion to be complete. Setting up and discontinuing the infusion takes approximately another 15-20 minutes. It is safe to plan for two hours total for a 60 min drip.
-
This depends on treatment and patient. Most commonly, longer-term therapy plans call for monthly infusions. Certain nutrients and antioxidants can be administered more frequently.

The simple supplement plan is geared to those who just want access to our exclusive dispensaries and want a few general recommendations for supplements. For example, a patient who wants recommendations to treat and prevent cold sores only, or basic fertility support, or basic immune support for flu and cold season. The comprehensive, functional medicine-based consultation dives deep into the patient’s medical history, including generational and genetic history, to better understand the root cause of their illnesses and how to help support healing with a customized, precise, thorough treatment plan. For example, patients who have a history of chronic Lyme or other tickborne diseases, mold illness/chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS), adrenal fatigue, autoimmune disease, allergies, and those in need of cancer support would require this type of consultation.

Glutathione is our body's "master antioxidant", which binds free radicals that tend to affect our skin. After receiving glutathione, patients commonly note they not only experience improved energy but also lightening of their skin and moles as well.

Most people feel rejuvenated with greater energy and find some relief from their symptoms.

Although it's uncommon, there is a small percentage of patients who can feel temporarily worse after receiving an IV. This depends on your baseline nutritional level as well as the immunologic burden that your body is handling at that time. When referring to immunologic burden, it is important to consider the patient’s genetic makeup, as well as their environmental and pathogenic toxic loads. For example, if someone has multiple tickborne infections, along with CIRS from mold illness, it's not uncommon for this type of patient to have an increased risk for a herxheimer reaction from IV nutrition, especially one with high dose Vitamin C. The herxheimer response is a natural bodily process triggered by a greater prevalence of endotoxins which are released when harmful microorganisms and bacteria are being destroyed or die off. This is what causes a temporary worsening of symptoms and/or the development of new symptoms. Working with a licensed expert like Thriving Wellness, who is familiar with tailoring IV nutrient therapy to each patient’s individual needs, is the best way to guarantee success with this treatment. It also helps to keep up with a customized oral nutraceutical plan and decrease your immunologic burden to mitigate some of these symptoms and support you feeling your best as you heal.
